Two people (among many others) made generous donations to Bikerowave and I’d like to thank them. Midnight Rida “MikeBikeMike” made a generous cash donation to Bikerowave. Thanks MikeBikeMike!! Also, shortly after Bikerowave moved to it’s present location an anonymous donor going by the pseudonym “The Captain” donated a box full of new multi tools, and other awesome gear. This Wednesday, March 26th, we’ll be watching the two Corey’s (Feldman and Haim) try to rid their town of a gang of motorcycle-riding vampires led by Kiefer Sutherland. Will they be able to destroy the vamps before Jason Patric and Jami Gertz (of Quicksilver) turn into bloodsucking punk rockers? Find out in The Lost Boys this Wednesday at Bikerowave’s Movie Night.

On Saturday March 22nd, Bikerowave will be hosting a fundraiser put on by 2008 AIDS Life Cycle riders Team Midnight Ridazz. From 1pm to 4pm, Midnight Ridazz team members will be there to bathe your dirty bikes. Come on out to have a great time, get your bike cleaned and support the team as they prepare to make the long trek from San Francisco to Los Angeles for AIDS Life Cycle. Bring some friends and bring your bike!

This benefit is also happening (simultaneously!) at Bike Oven in Northeast Los Angeles.

Last week, we tried to show Wes Anderson’s classic high school opus, Rushmore. Well, due to some technical difficulties we failed (but the accompanying Cubcamp Den Dinner was a total success). This Wednesday, March 12th, we will be really showing Rushmore. For realz this time. Anyone who missed out last Wednesday will have a second chance and anyone who was there, we will make it up to you. So throw on those O.R. scrubs again and come have some fun.

UPDATE: Due to scheduling conflicts with Cubcamp’s Den Dinner, Bikerowave’s Movie Night will be on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month rather than the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. However, this Wednesday the 5th of March will be a Cubrowave Den Movie Mash-Up so it’s still on!

Thanks to Bike Kitchen, Bikerowave has about 15 Novara 20″ singlespeed bikes for sale - brand NEW!! They need to be checked over, but we will take you through the process and help you adjust them. Bike & adjustment - $50. These are the Pixie & Duster Bikes that REI is selling for $150, so it’s a good deal. I don’t know exactly who donated them to the Bike Kitchen but once I do I’ll post it up so that they will get due credit . . . until then, thanks mystery donor!
