August Classes

Bikerowave is proud to offer it’s August class listings.  First off we have a long awaited class that will only be available to Bikerowave volunteers and members of other bicycle co-ops. Dan, former professional bike wrench and lover of spices will give a clinic on Odd Bike Tools and How to Use Them.  This class is to improve the knowledge base of dedicated co-op volunteers anywhere so if you are from Bikerowave, Bici Libre, the Bicycle Kitchen, Bike Oven, or Bikery come on down and get a class from a pro.  If you are a complete bike nerd and feel that you can’t live without this class but are not a co-op volunteer contact us and we will see what we can do.
We also have a real treat this month.  We are going to test our first experimental dual class.  We are proud to offer our Soap making/cycle commuting class.  Come learn the fineries of home made soap making and, while the soap is cooking learn the fineries of riding your bike in the city for transportation.  This class will be taught by JB and Lindsey, both experts in their respective fields of soap making and bicycle riding.  There is a $5 materials fee for this class (coconut oil ain’t cheap) and everyone will leave with some soap of their own.
Finally we are pleased to offer Mike’s, Tune Your Derailleur class.  Mike owns a boat and knows how to make bikes shift right so show up.
All classes are free but, small donations are welcome and, sugary baked goods are appreciated by the instructors (vegan for JB).
All classes are on Sunday at 4pm sharp.
Sunday the 5th –Dan’s secret volunteer tool clinic

Sunday the 12th – JB and Lindsey’s soap making/back to school special on commuting
Sunday the 19th – Mike’s not so secret derailleur/shifting class

Please RSVP to bikerowaveclasses (AT) gmail (dot com) with the date you would like to attend in the subject line.
If you want to hear about future classes, please say so in an email to the above address.
