Bike To Work Week! Bikerowave & Sony Pictures Studios, Culver City.

We had a great time this morning, Thursday May 19th, helping out those intrepid bicycle commuters who work at Sony Pictures Studios.  Approximately 20 cyclists brought us their rides and we did some minor adjustments and tune-ups.  One Sony employee even rode all the way from Echo Park–the long distance award winner!  Kristin Cavanaugh, Director of Studio Relations, had plenty of breakfast nosh ready for us all and had us feeling right at home.  We really appreciate Sony’s hospitality.

This was also our second voyage out with our brand new Surly “Bill” Long Bed Trailer. This thing is brilliant!  We can haul a pop-up tent, 4 of our Feedback Sports event stands (for valet bike parking), a couple repair stands, our folding table, banner and a box filled with tools and maps.   It doesn’t flop around, it keeps the center of gravity low, I can bank through a turn and not feel like I’m getting pulled to the ground and it makes us a fully bicycle-mobile outreach team!  Thank you Surly!
